The Olney Cubs varsity basketball team hosted the Chico Dragons for a season opener.
After a crushing victory against Chillicothe a week earlier, the Lady Cubs fell to the Peaster Lady Hounds, 32-8.
Olney High School seniors from Cubs Football and the Pride of Olney High School Marching Band [POOHS] were escorted onto the field by family members to celebrate their achievements during a Nov.

The OHS Lady Cubs Volleyball season came to an end with the loss to the Quanah Lady Indians in the Bi-District playoff game.

Jim Lawrence Cuba, 94, of Megargel, Texas, passed away Monday, October 14, 2024, at Hospice of Wichita Falls. A rosary will be held on Saturday, October 19, at 11:30 a.m. at St.
Evelyn Altmiller of Olney, Texas, died on Saturday, September 14, 2024, in Wichita Falls, Texas, at the age of 88. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Dorothy M. Matus, 92, of Wichita Falls since 2013, formerly of Megargel and Olney, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024.
Miranda Dawn Wright, 47, of Olney, Texas, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024 in Wichita Falls, Texas after a courageous, but brief battle with cancer.
